Batang Peninsula

It's summertime. Everyone's been looking for a place to cool off the heat. For those working in the call center industry, this was a perfect season for team building of sort activities and the lookout for a great summer destination is on fire.

We were on a tight schedule and looking for some place near Bacolod City. One friend suggested that we can go to Batang Peninsula. It was unknown to me until I hear it at that moment. I searched through the social media  and FB gave me the info I need.                                                                                        

To make the story short, I did all the arrangements for this summer trip of our. This was my first beach team building since I became a team manager. It has always been the extremely popular Negros Occidental summer destination Mambukal Mountain Resort in Murcia. Now, its a new one and we're not stepping in a white sand resort. It was the typical but the  fine, black sand version. The beach front is clean, well maintained and inviting especially in the late afternoon, just hours before sunset.


The cottages and the rooms has designated names like some of the US states. We choose to rent San Francisco. One of the four adjacent rooms in Hotel California. Each one has two bathrooms.

At this time, the resort looks underutilized though its Saturday and the rates are customer friendly. Its good though since the place really offered us a wide place to relax and unwind.

 We had the beach front like our personal swimming pool.  It was around 5 pm when we decided to take a dip. Warm but calm sea current greeted us. It was a great time bonding with the team. Talking about nonsense things and personal jokes. We laughed our way out. Overall ,water is tolerable but some feels itchiness especially near this concrete marker.


Time suddenly catch up and we had to leave the beach. Some had their moments just before the sun sleeps like this one.

Nightime, the team had dinner as usual. Overflowing food as I may quote. Same thing with liquours and beverages. The year has been good to us AND of course, everyone did a great job!!!

Finally, the remote went fine.

Time to sleep. But others are still on the laptops trying to catch latest social media buzz. Good thing is the resort  has good 4G reception for Smart and Globe.

Good 4G reception provides continuous connection.

   To sum up the experience, it was fun. The resort is peaceful and the staff were courteous. We're actually the one who has filled the place with our videoke songs till 12mn.You can reach Batang Pensinsula by public transport from Bacolod City within 2 hours travel. You need to inform the resort first if you need something prepared days ahead. Luckily for us, as Teleperformance teams are regular visitors, we only paid our reservation right there upon arrival. By the way, the entrance fee is at P25. Cottages may range from P2500 below.
